Portugal's brightest Challenge Tour player, Tomás Melo Gouveia, claimed the win to PT Tour's Palmares Open II by a stunning 22-under-par carding a total score of 194. The victory adds another trophy to his name, highlighting his undeniable talent and incredible consistency within the sport.
Gouveia started the event steadily carding a score of 68 on Day 1. On Day 2 Tomás shot a superb 62 to take control of the tournament. He followed up with a 64 on Day 3, keeping his lead and holding off a strong challenge from Scotland's Gregor Graham, who finished one shot behind at 21-under-par.
The final day saw a tight battle between the two but the steady golf of Gouveia and the way he handled the pressure on the back nine saw him through to victory.
